We Started This Business Because We Understood the Problem
Every business has a reason for why it exists. For us, it stems from the rug problem that we heard from people living in Raritan and the surrounding areas. One of the biggest challenges for many individuals in these communities was that they had a rug that they cared for deeply but struggled to find someone to trust to deep clean it. Many rug cleaning services were treating these delicate, hand-knotted rugs the same as other rugs in the homes, and it was not producing the results that the rug owners were hoping for.
Central Oriental Cleaners was started with the intention of being different from other rug deep cleaning companies in the area. We want to be a company that listens to the individuals who bring their rugs to us and treat every rug as if it belongs to an individual who loves it – which, in most cases, it does.
What Central Oriental Cleaners Kept Hearing From People
Prior to the opening of our shop, we had a variety of homeowners in the Raritan area who shared with us their frustrations with rug deep cleaning companies. Many rugs came back smelling worse after deep cleaning than they did prior to the appointment. Other rugs had stains that were not completely removed during the deep cleaning process. Additionally, some rugs had developed fading colors due to the improper products that were used during the rug deep cleaning process.
Central Oriental Cleaners do not believe in any of these practices, and they are avoided in every rug that passes through our shop.
Our Approach
Our approach to rug deep cleaning starts with understanding the problem that exists with the rug that needs to be deep cleaned. We want to know what is troubling the rug owner about the rug that they own. That could be a stain issue, an odor issue, or a general lack of shine that comes from rugs that have lost their luster over the years.
Once we understand the problem, we can implement the following steps into our process:
We take the time to understand the rug that is to be deep cleaned.
We choose the right solution for the rug’s problem instead of applying the same protocol for every rug.
We communicate with the rug owner throughout the rug deep cleaning process to ensure that they remain in the know about what is happening to their rug.
We do not consider the rug deep cleaning process to be complete until the rug’s problem has been solved to the satisfaction of the rug owner.
Who Central Oriental Cleaners Serve
Central Oriental Cleaners work with a variety of families in the Raritan and surrounding communities who have a particular concern for one or more of their rugs. These rugs could be a recent purchase, a family heirloom, or a rug that was purchased on one of their memorable trips.
Some individuals have a specific concern with their rug that they share with us, while others just want to have a deep clean for the rug that they love. Additionally, some of our customers have been meaning to deep clean their rugs but have not yet taken the time to do so. Regardless of the reason that an individual has found their way to our shop, we are happy to work with them.
Why This Work Matters to Us
To many individuals in the communities that we serve, their rugs contain memories of the homes in which they grew up, the individuals that they have lost, and the memories that they wish to hold onto.
When Central Oriental Cleaners are able to deep clean one of these rugs and solve the problem that they have with it, it means something to us as well. The smile that comes to the face of an individual when they see that one of their rugs has finally been properly deep cleaned is a big part of the reason that we get involved in this rug deep cleaning industry.
